About this Event

Overview
Take on the world of sewing with instructor Amanda in our downtown Bakersfield studio. In this 4 day camp we will be focusing on the art of upcycling.

Upcycling is a great way to repurpose material AND get creative. For this camp we are going to focus on taking a t-shirt and either adding on a skirt to make it a dress, or adding scrap fabric to the exterior and give it a whole new look!

This is an BEGINNER LEVEL camp. This is good for students that are brand new to sewing or need to brush up on their skills. We will teach how to operate a sewing machine and learn basic stitches.
Class runs:
December 30th, 31st, January 2nd, and 3rd (taking a break for new years)
9 am - 12pm each day
AGES: 8-14
Pricing:
$250/ individual
$50 deposit is paid on eventbrite and remaining balance is paid on first day of session. (If you are interested in paying the deposit through, Zelle, Apple Pay, cash, or check, please reach out separately)

Project: Upcycling a T-shirt
Join us for a 4 day camp of fun, new friendships, and education with textiles!

Class includes:
-Use of sewing machines, tools, fabric, and other materials
-Water and snacks, though we encourage students to bring their own reusable water bottles.
-Take home multiple projects that are created in class
***Students are allowed to use their own t-shirt and/or fabric but we will also provide matierals if needed.

Heartland Charter Students: This class can be booked with your funds. Please choose the ticket "Heartland Students". When filling out Procurify please choose "3 day camp".

Other important information:

There are no refunds, but the class can be transferred to another student

In the event that a students gets sick:

They are to stay hone until they feel better

There are no make up dates for class. If a student does not finish their project, the option of booking a private lesson is allowed.
