Malaysia's installed capacity of renewable energy has reached 8.892GW now. By 2040, the total installed capacity of renewable energy will be increased to 18.431GW in 2040, and the overall proportion of renewable energy in the total energy supply will be increased from 7.2% to 17%. Among them, photovoltaics has great potential. The total installed capacity of photovoltaics will reach 269GW. In Malaysia's fourth round of large-scale photovoltaic LSS4, the price of 10-30MW projects ranged from MYR 0.1850 ($0.049) /kWh to MYR 0.2481/kWh; the price of 30-50MW projects ranged from MYR 0.1768/kWh to MYR 0.1970/kWh. LSS4 awarded 30 projects with a capacity of 823MW. In addition, also plans to introduce a considerable number of utility-scale battery energy storage systems from 2030 to 2034 to support solar power generation.
