In a beautiful and unexpected gesture, Pope Leo XIV has proclaimed a “Special Year of St. Francis” to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the Seraphic Father’s transition to eternal life. St. Padre Pio Parish has been designated a pilgrimage site for this Jubilee Year, a testament to our deep and enduring connection to the Franciscan charism through the Capuchin Franciscan friars who have served our parish. During the course of the Jubilee Year, through January 10, 2027, people may make a pilgrimage to St. Padre Pio Parish and obtain a plenary indulgence.
Each month on the third Saturday, St. Padre Pio Parish will celebrate a special 11:30AM Pilgrim's Mass with Jubilee Year prayers and the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Groups may also schedule a pilgrimage visit on third Saturdays with a 10AM talk, visit to the friary chapel, Mass and Confessions.
