3rd Friday Reggae w/ Inna Vision and Paapa Wastik

Grammy nominated international reggae band Inna Vision continues to represent Hawaii Reggae on a global stage with lyrics, versatility, energy and a relentless work ethic. Up rooted from the tiny island Maui, Inna Vision has toured the U.S.A. consistently since 2008 performing in over 70 cities and also igniting stages in Europe, United Kingdom, Canada, South America and Japan.

2018-2019 proved massive with the release of 3 Full length albums including greatest hits compilation “Best Yet” celebrating 10 years of Inna Vision music. The hard hitting album “Link Up” and “Best Yet” both climbed charts quickly and both nominated as “Reggae album of the year” finalist by Hawaii’s Na Hoku Hanohano awards. Following release and U.S. headline tour Inna Vision made Europe debut performing in London, Amsterdam, France with stops on legendary festivals Summerjam (Germany) and Montreax Jazz Festival (Switzerland).

Since 2005 Inna Visions passion and persistence has led to 11 studio albums, performances on California Roots Festival, Reggae on the River, One Love Fest, Reggae Rise Up, Rototom Sunsplash, Summerjam, Montreax Jazz Festival and more. “The Vision” has also shared stages with Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Kabaka Pyramid, Steel Pulse, Alborosie, Gentleman, UB40, Katchafire, Tribal Seeds, J Boog. Inna Vision has collaboration songs with Richie Spice, InI Kamoze Jesse Royal, Tippa Irie, Jemere Morgan, Dre Island, Bambu Station, Million Stylez, Mellow Mood, Gappy Ranks, Eli-mac, Gonzo, Josh Heinrichs, The Steppas, Lion Fiyah to name a few.

For over fifteen years, Paapa Wastik has been touring, performing and producing alongside various reggae heavyweights including Lucky Dube, Alpha Blondy, Anthony B, Sizzla, Capleton, The Itals, Luciano, The Abyssinians, Ky-mani Marley, Lutan Fyah, Jah Mason, Everton Blender, Queen Ifrica, Warrior King and many others.

Hailing from Cape Coast, Ghana (West Africa) Paapa Wastik has had a rich history growing up with music all around him since he was a young boy. He experienced a plethora of forms ranging from the melodies of the fisherfolk united in call and response melodies to meet the roaring waves as they formed working choruses to drag in the nets at dusk to the more cosmopolitan sounds of the bands of his time like Nana Ampedu, J.A. Adofo, Akwesi Ampofo Agyei, Amakye Dede, AB Cresntsil, Paapa Yankson, Pat Thomas etc. as well as the ‘funk’ and other international artists, mostly from the diaspora.

He has been nominated for several awards including Reggae Song of the year and Reggae Artiste of the year at the 2017 BASS Awards.

"First Come, First Serve” Policy

Purchasing an Eventbrite ticket guarantees entry to event in case of a sell out. In advance does not guarantee parking, seating or express entry to any live music event at Swabbies. More than one band per day may/will be playing, tickets will be specific for band and times.

We advise early arrival for best seating and service times during possible sold-out events/standing room, etc. Expected food and service times during peak can be up to an hour. Again early arrival is suggested.

Refund Policy

Swabbies event tickets purchased at Eventbrite are non-refundable, with the following exceptions:

• Event cancelled due to weather: In the event of weather-related cancellation, Swabbies will EITHER refund the full purchase price and the service fee paid on the purchase, OR if the event is rescheduled for a later date, tickets will be honored at that time.
• Event cancelled due to Artist cancellation: In the event of an Artist-related cancellation due to illness or other unforeseen emergency, Swabbies will EITHER refund full ticket price and the service fee paid on purchase OR if the event is rescheduled for a later date, tickets will be honored at that time.
