Soleiluna’s musical sets are known to be smooth, surprising, playful, energetic and cathartic. Expect the unexpected, with styles ranging from House, west coast bass, downtempo and Break beats, to modern classical piano, and pop. She follows the emotional tenor of the room with the intention of co-creating an emotional and psychedelic journey. Her sets are often described as sober medicine journeys for the mind, body, and spirit. Some of her dances are fun, some are hard, and some are life changing, it all depends on what you bring and how deep you want to go as a dancer. As a PsyD in Psychology and 5Rhythms teacher, she is a professional space holder with a thriving clinical practice and clinic where she trains interns in Santa Cruz, CA. She facilitates movement workshops internationally. These workshops offer dancers coping/movement skills and rituals to use in dance and life. She believes that dance medicine is for every body, gender, race and socioeconomic status. Her offerings range from Black Rock City, to opening and closing festivals, to working with incarcerated folx, cancer patients, youth with mental illness and more.Dr. Rachel Jordana Horodezky, Psy.D is a dancer/artist /psychologist/mother who loves to bring you joy -- she also gives you permission to feel it all. She began facilitating conscious dance in 2010 after stumbling into a 5Rhythms class that changed the course of her life. Since then, she has been on a path to offer dance as medicine.
All are respectfully welcome in this sacred space - leave alcohol, technology, verbal communication and shoes off the inside dance floor.
The Ecstatic Dance musical journey starts slowly for stretching and gradually quickens - taking you on a rhythmic wave where you’ll dance hard and sweat, slowing down again, ending with a sound bath and short meditation.
