3RD EAR Presents: Don Slepian In Concert

Don Slepian returns to the Alembic with some of the most beautiful ambient electronica in live performance, presented by a master of the craft. Slepian blends New Age and classical influences into a delightful and animated mix. For technology fans, Don will offer a Q&A session after the music. LP copies of his New Age masterpiece Sea of Bliss (1980) will be available for sale.

Don Slepian, composer of Sea of Bliss, has been well known to New Age music fans since 1980.

Born into a scientific family, Slepian showed both musical and technical talent early in life. He was a tester on the early internet as a member of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and served as Synthesizer Soloist with the Honolulu Symphony and Musical Director of the Honolulu Theater For Youth. He has been presented by WNYC’s “New Sounds” in New York’s Lincoln Center and performed at the Pompidou Center in Paris. He is currently living in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania where he writes and builds instruments.
