Walk-4-PICS Orlando was founded in 2024 to raise awareness of Post-Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS), a syndrome affecting more than 50% of patients following an intensive care unit (ICU) admission. PICS involves new or worsening physical, cognitive, and mental health impairments that persist long after the ICU admission.

This FREE community event will bring together critical illness survivors, family members, healthcare professionals, researchers, and community members. Register in advance to receive a FREE Walk-4-PICS shirt, while supplies last!

At the walk, critical illness survivors, healthcare professionals, and researchers will share their experiences and perspectives on PICS. Sponsors including the UF Sepsis and Critical Illness Research Center, AdventHealth Central Florida Division, and the Life After the ICU Initiative, and the Walk-4-PICS Orlando team will provide information about resources and research opportunities.

OneBlood will be onsite for blood donations, and face painting will be available for children. Join us in raising awareness of PICS and supporting those affected by critical illness. Register using the QR code on the flyer!
