Join us for the 3rd Annual Sleep Out to End Homelessness. Presented by Hartford Bags of Love and Senator Dr. Saud Anwar we hope this event will help raise awareness of the issue of homelessness and help everyone develop a sense of empathy for those dealing with it. We will sleep outside to get a small glimpse of what our homeless friends deal with each night.All are invited to join us for the evening, regardless of whether you will be staying the night. During our public talk we will hear from speakers about the issue of homelessness as well as hear stories from individuals who are/were dealing with homelessness.
After the public talk, those staying the night will start to settle in for a night in the park. A warm breakfast will be provided at St. Peter's Episcopal Church for those who stayed the night.
3-5:30pm - live music
3-8pm - food trucks - The Philling Station
6pm - public talk - various speakers
6:45-7:30 - live music by Bruce John
8pm-8am - Sleep Out
7am - breakfast at St Peter's Episcopal Church
Live Music by bands of Rock Band 101 and Bruce John
The Food Trucks at the event will be The Philling Station
