3rd Annual Payton Harvey Cheer EmpowHER Camp

Join us for two exciting days at the SAY Detroit Play Center for the Payton Harvey Cheer Empowerment Clinic 2026! Hosted by EmpowHer Camps, this clinic aims to inspire children aged 7–14 by combining cheerleading with vital educational sessions on confidence, advocacy, and leadership. Led by Payton Harvey, former University of Michigan cheerleader and three-time NCA National Champion, alongside a coaching team of accomplished collegiate athletes. This two-day camp will not only enhance athletic skills; it will also encompass aspects of personal development, ensuring the girls leave the camp with tools to create and build healthy habits to ensure a healthy future.

Last year, the camp reached nearly 80 girls across Metro Detroit, providing:

• Free Nike cheer shoes, backpacks, and lunches for both partipants and family members in attendance
• A community showcase celebrating the girls’ progress
• Ongoing mentorship and cheer programming beyond camp

Info: A full day packed with cheer sessions, health and wellness workshops, and inspiring talks from health educators and motivational speakers. Topics will include goal setting, mental health awareness, healthy decision-making, the path to secondary education through sports, and leadership skills. Lunch, snacks and water will be provided.

Info: A half day focusing on performance preparation, culminating in an exciting showcase (at 12:30pm) where campers will perform in front of family, friends, and community members. Additionally, family, friends, and community members are invited for our Community Resource Fair happening prior to the showcase at 12:00pm. The day will also feature a competition segment with opportunities to win prizes and scholarships. Snacks and water will be provided.
