Join us for an incredible celebration of Celtic music and Irish/Scottish culture with Scottish superstars Skerryvore and Irish bluegrass sensations JigJam in concert in the spacious Edinburgh Hall at the Dunedin Communty Center! Our 3rd annual Moonshine Music Fest will be the very first stop on Skerryvore's 2027 U.S. album launch tour for their new album "Beautiful Mistakes."

They've evolved from humble beginnings to become one of the world's leading forces in a thriving live Irish-Scottish-Celtic music scene. Their now 8 studio albums demonstrate the wide range of influences the individual musicians bring to the mix – a unique fusion of folk, trad, pop and rock. Their new album, "Beautiful Mistakes," is their most ambitious and deeply personal album to date — a collection that celebrates the beauty found in life’s imperfections. Recorded with acclaimed producer Jamie Squire (The 1975), the album captures the band at their most honest, blending heartfelt songwriting with the energy and spirit that have made them one of Scotland’s most beloved musical exports.
Across 13 tracks on the new album, Skerryvore weave together their signature mix of soaring melodies, powerful storytelling and roots-driven musicianship. From the uplifting title track, inspired by the village of Tiree and the band’s early days, to the poignant tribute “Singing Up In Heaven”, the album explores themes of love, loss, resilience and self-discovery. Highlights include the emotionally charged “The Game”, the euphoric “To Be With Your Eyes”, and the stunning duet “While I’m Breathing”, featuring acclaimed singer-songwriter Tamzene.

Live From Tullamore! We open the night with JigJam, the best Irish band in bluegrass today.
JigJam made its Grand Ole Opry Debut in Nashville in March 2023 to critical acclaim receiving a standing ovation from a sold-out crowd on Country Music’s biggest stage. The group was joined on the night by Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Steve Earle, Lauren Alaina, and many more. This Offaly and Tipperary-born band has started the first wave of attack in the new Irish invasion of Americana.
Founding members from Offaly Jamie McKeogh (Lead singer and guitar) and Daithi Melia (5 String Banjo and Dobro) were joined by Tipperary-born Gavin Strappe (Mandolin and Tenor Banjo) in 2016. This year they are joined by Kevin Buckley (Fiddle) to make up this iGrass (Irish Bluegrass) quartet.
Described as ‘The best Irish band in bluegrass’ and ‘sparkling, infectious’ these lads have been hailed as ‘Ireland’s answer to New Grass Revival’. Bluegrass has its roots in Irish music and Irish immigration. iGrass and JigJam is what happens when the Irish find their prodigal sons.
