🎤 3rd Annual Karaoke Contest – Judging Criteria

This competition is about more than just technical skill—it’s about fun, energy, and pure entertainment. Yes, vocal ability matters, but we’re here to celebrate performers who light up the stage and leave the crowd buzzing!

Scoring System

Each judge scores contestants in five categories on a 1–10 scale:

1️⃣ Vocal Ability – pitch, tone, clarity, breath control

2️⃣ Stage Presence & Confidence – energy, charisma, audience connection

3️⃣ Song Choice – fit for the singer’s range, originality, crowd appeal

4️⃣ Audience Engagement – crowd response, interaction, involvement

5️⃣ Overall Performance – entertainment value, fun factor, memorability

Maximum per judge: 50 points

Total (3 judges): 150 points

Tie-Breakers

In the event of a tie, judges will deliberate to decide who best captured the spirit of karaoke and delivered the most enjoyable performance.
