The Indiana Mental Health Summit (formerly the Northeast Indiana Mental Health Summit) is an annual event dedicated to fostering collaboration among mental health providers, government agencies, first responders, community organizations, patients, and patients’ families and friends. The purposes of the Summit are to raise awareness and decrease the stigma associated with mental illness, to encourage conversations between all stakeholders, to improve mental health services, and to support overall mental wellness for individuals and families in Indiana.Attendees will hear inspiring stories from those battling mental illness and addiction. They will have the opportunity to learn, network, exchange ideas, and explore strategies to enhance mental healthcare. They will be encouraged and equipped to be the reason someone feels comfortable talking about their struggle or mental illness, to be the reason someone feels comfortable seeking help, and to be the reason someone chooses to fight and not give up.
