3rd Annual Hot Dog Mile

It's like a beer mile, but with hot dogs! 4 hot dogs, 4 quarter mile laps, hopefully no puking and some beers at the end. a great hang-out to support dogs, eat hot dogs, have some beers and enjoy a lovely Sunday at Eastern Market!

The race/hot dog celebration runs from 11-2, with three waves starts every 45 minutes. Choose your start time when registering.

Motor City Frank's hot dogs will also be on site for spectators to grab a dog while they watch!

Additionally, this year we will be raffling off hot dog, running, and dog related items to raise additional funds to donate. Raffle tickets are included with both racer and spectator ticket packages, and additional tickets will be available for purchase at the event.

Optional Swag this year includes race sticker, race t-shirt and new this year- race day mugs! Purchase your hot dog mile mug and receive $1 off beer pours during the event!

Registration Options

All Race entry options include 4 race hot dogs, bib, sticker and timing. At least $10 of each entry will be donated to Detroit Dog Rescue.

$20: race entry and 1 raffle ticket
$35: race entry, beer mug, 2 raffle tickets
$50: race entry, beer mug, t-shirt, 3 raffle tickets

$15 spectator ticket: beer mug, sticker, 1 raffle ticket
$35 spectator ticker: beer mug, t-shirt, sticker, 2 raffle tickets

Must register by May 13th to guarantee beer mug and t-shirt. Limited supplies of each will be available for purchase on race day, but when they're gone, they're gone.

Wave Times

Wave time chosen at registration:

Wave 1: 11:30 am start
Wave 2: 12:15 wave start
Wave 3: 1 pm wave start

Wave 2 is the "elite wave" but anyone may register for this time. If you think you will run an under 10 minute hot dog mile, we recommend registering for Wave 2.

All registered racers will be sent a race packet upon registration with more details!
