Known as Mid-Autumn Festival in Chinese or Tết Trung Thu in Vietnamese or Chuseok in Korean, the Moon Festival is a traditional celebration taking place on full-moon day in August of lunar calendar. Families gathered to give thanks for the fall harvest and celebrate family reunion and harmony of the community. It is one of the most important holidays in Asia.
The Festival drew a crowd of around 800 attendees last fall, an increase from about 500 in 2022, and more are expected this year. Open to public, free admission, free on-campus parking at Parking Structure 1 right next to Capistrano Hall.
