About this Event
Over three days, the Symposium will examine how today’s political landscape shapes—and often exploits—Black women’s labor across sectors. Through dynamic panel discussions, policy briefings, storytelling, and strategy convenings, we will confront the consequences of the erasure and loss of Black women’s labor while cultivating pathways toward transformative change.
Powerful keynote by Alicia Garza, the co-creator of #BlackLivesMatter and the Black Lives Matter Global Network, an international organizing project to end state violence and oppression against Black people. The Black Lives Matter Global Network now has 40 chapters in four countries.
She currently serves as the Senior Vice President for Movement Infrastructure and Explorations at the Freedom Together Foundation.
Also, we will have a fireside chat with Tiffany Cross about the erasure of Black women's labor which is included in her upcoming book Love, Me: A Letter to Black Women in a Toxic Coutry, Career & Relationship! Tiffany Cross is a journalist, TV host, podcast host, author, and speaker.
