3D Model to 3D Print - Reverse Engineering Workshop

Are you interested in 3D modeling or 3D printing and are curious about how you might harness this incredibly useful skill for your needs? This workshop is for you! Come join us at Ramsess Art Garden for a hands-on workshop where we'll dive into designing and printing objects that fulfill a purpose both practically AND playfully.

In this workshop we'll discuss how to generate 3D models of simple objects in TinkerCAD and Fusion360* using measuring tools and object conceptualization. We'll then iterate upon these designs with the consideration of end-user needs and 3D printing constraints.

You will also learn how designs are transformed into physical objects using slicer software and 3D printing. I will focus primarily on the Bambu Labs ecosystem for this workshop given its immense popularity, but will briefly discuss other solutions on the market.

My goal with my workshops is to prepare you to design in 3D, and to empower you by bringing your ideas to life with 3D printing. No prior 3D modeling or printing experience is required for this workshop, and I will have exercises that challenge the beginner and intermediate user of these tools.

*Please bring your own laptop with TinkerCAD or Fusion360 installed if you are interested in hands-on experience with these tools. Computers will not be provided.
