3D Connect: We're Going Back To School!

THIS ONE'S GOING TO BE SPECIAL!
Peaks Campus is now the home of , a specialist centre for 16–24 year olds from across the city, with a focus on preparation for adulthood.
After a £1.5m investment and partnership with Sheffield City Council, it's a fabulous facility with independent living suites, a sensory room, an art room, a wellbeing space, quiet rooms, a library, and a superb exhibition/conference space (where we will be!).
It's early days, but the ambition is sky high. This brand new offer has a dedicated team who ensure young people develop the skills they require for independence and work. But it's not easy. The team have partnered with some local businesses, creating successful work-trials work experience opportunities, and are looking to do more. There are also enterprise plans ahead to develop entrepreneurial skills, and potential development plans for a nursery/retail offer too.
This innovative session will be insightful, inspiring, and very thought-provoking… and importantly, completely student-led. Yes, the students are helping design, co-ordinate and run this 3D session, so expect something 'Dramatically and Demonstrably Different'. Think 'The Assembly Comes To Sheffield' (If you haven't seen it, - it's one of our favourite TV Programmes... ever!)

In true 3D Connect style, it's an opportunity to learn, explore new things and meet new friends - Just like starting back at school!
WHERE IS IT HAPPENING?
Sheffield College, Peaks Campus, Waterthorpe Greenway, Sheffield, S20 8LY.
WHAT WILL THE SESSION BE LIKE?
Fun, interactive and eye opening! We will be welcomed by the students, taken to the venue by them, and hosted throughout the event by them. We're pretty sure a few will be involved 'on stage' too!
WHAT DOES IT COST?
For 'fully signed up' 3D Connect members, its free... and for initial 'Look And See-ers' it's £15 plus VAT.
The 'Look and See' option is a one off. If you like what you see then we'd love you to sign up and join us as a Member - we hope you do!
WHAT ARE THE TIMINGS?
Arrival from 8.30am where we'll have breakfast, and a 9.00am start! We'll finish at 10.30am prompt, but there will be the option for more networking afterwards.
