On Saturday, December 13, enjoy a parade of boats beautifully decorated for the holidays on Sarasota Bay. This annual event is organized in partnership by Suncoast Charities for Children and Marina Jack and is presented by Lake Michigan Credit Union. The parade is free to view from Bayfront Park or you can make a reservation to view the parade from Marina Jack. Reservations are required in advance for Marina Jack and fill up quickly. Call 941-365-4232 to reserve your table now!Guests are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy, book, infant clothing and items, or gas/ grocery gift card which will be distributed by Suncoast Charities for Children to families in need at The Florida Center for Early Childhood, The Haven, and Children First. Additional donation drop-off locations will be available November 24 through Sunday, December 14. Visit our website to view all drop-off locations.
Please consider registering your boat in the parade! Registration is free and cash prizes are awarded based off four categories: privately owned vessels under 36 ft. in length, privately owned vessels over 36 ft. in length, company owned vessels under 36 ft. in length, and company owned vessels over 36 ft. in length. Celebrity judges select winners from both the private and corporate sector. All registered captains also receive a thank you bag containing gift cards and other specialty items and are invited to a post-parade thank you happy hour hosted by Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU).
Please note, this is a free community event so there are no tickets for sale, however, sponsorship opportunities are available which include access into the VIP area at Marina Jack featuring an open bar, food buffet, and front row viewing of the parade.
