PLEASE NOTE: This golf tournament is open to the public.Join us on Friday, May 3rd from 8:30am-2pm for the 38th Annual Lake Lure Lions Club Open Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Lake Lure Lions Club and hosted at Bald Mountain Golf Course.
FORMAT:
•Sign up as a team or individually (we will place you on a team). •Print your name, USGA or GHIN handicap index (handicap must be verified.) If you do not have a verifiable handicap, you will need to call Adam Bowles at 828.694.3040 to discuss. If you are unable to submit a handicap, you will be given a handicap of 0.
•Scoring will be Handicapped Scramble.
•Men 56 and over will play from yellow tees.
•Men 55 and younger will play from white tees.
•Women will play from red tees.
ENTRY FEE:
•$80 per player. Cash or check only; NO CREDIT CARDS. (Premier 1 or Golf Members are $45.)
•Entry fee includes all golf fees, coffee and pastries prior to 8:30am Shotgun Start. A lunch is included in the tournament fee.
PRIZES:
•Prizes for Winners – Overall Low Gross Teams and 1st and 2nd Place Low Net Teams – will be Pro Shop Gift Certificates (Men and Women)
•Cash prizes for Men’s Closest to Pin on #2; Women’s Closest to Pin on # 16
•Cash prizes for Drive Closest to ‘White Line Across Fairway’ on hole #9 (Men & Women)
•Hole-in-One on hole #6 is $200 Cash. More than (1) will split the prize.
•Mulligans will be on sale.
•50/50 raffle tickets will be on sale.
PROCEEDS:
All proceeds go to local causes:
•Visually Impaired Persons, Fire Departments (4), EMS, Mountains Branch Library, Hickory Nut Gorge Outreach, Lions-Sponsored McCune Community Assisted Living Facility, Student Scholarships, etc. “Where There’s a Need, There’s a Lion”
