35th Members' Anniversary Lunch
About this Event
Join the museum’s Director Daryl Karp AM for pre-lunch drinks and canapes followed by a three-course meal by award-winning caterers Sydney Restaurant Group, as we celebrate the Museum's 35th anniversary.
You will enjoy the company of fellow members and friends of the museum and hear from this years special guest speakers - married couple and bestselling authors Peter FitzSimons AM and Lisa Wilkinson AM.
Peter is the author of widely read biographies of notable figures in history, including James Cook, Sir Douglas Mawson and Nancy Wake, as well as acclaimed accounts of the Mutiny on the Bounty, Kokoda, and the Catalpa rescue. His passion is telling Australian stories, celebrating remarkable men and women and the stirring events that have shaped our history.
Lisa Wilkinson AM is one of Australia’s most popular, admired and respected journalists. She became the youngest-ever editor of a national magazine when she was appointed editor of Dolly at the age of twenty-one, before spending ten years as editor of the bestselling Cleo magazine. Her career has since spanned newspapers, television, radio and online media. Earlier this year, Lisa released her second book, The Titanic Story of Evelyn, the never-before-told true story of a brave young nurse who was the only Australian survivor of the sinking of the Titanic.
We hope you can join us for what promises to be an enjoyable and memorable lunch
