CONTEST INFORMATION:Contest Deadline: All entries must be submitted by December 22, 2024 at 11:59 PM
✅ December 31, 2024 - Finalists will be announced
✅ January 6, 2025 - The Finalists Oratorical Workshop session and review of Oratorical Contest rules, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Enoch Davis Center, 1111 18th Ave. S., St. Petersburg, FL 33705.
✅ January 17, 2025 - The Oratorical Contest Competition at 6 PM at Enoch Davis Center.
✅ The top four (4) applicants in each grade level will be eligible to compete for the $500 scholarship.
Essay Topic:
Analyze how you believe the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would assess the current landscape of racial justice and race relations in the United States. Consider both the advancements made that he might acknowledge and the challenges he might critique. Support your analysis with specific, concrete evidence and examples.
