NO REFUNDS for any reason including cancellation of the ride. In the event of cancellation, all registration fees will be considered a tax deductible donation to Starved Rock Cycling Association, a 501(c)(3) organization. If you ordered a T-Shirt, it will be shipped to you regardless.

►2021 ROUTES INCLUDE road rides of 32 mi (rest stop at Wallace School approx 16 miles), 50, 68, or 102 miles, (rest stop Sheridan), light traffic and rolling hills. Routes to be posted on RideWithGPS, check web page for links closer to ride. Routes will also be marked on roads. Cue sheets and rider number will be provided at registration check-in.

►REGISTRATION AND START: Wallace Grade School, 1463 N 33rd Rd, Ottawa, IL 61350 (Rain or Shine) PARKING: School Parking lot only.

☛Registration opens 6:45 am - 101 mile riders are encouraged to start by 7:15 am.

☛Registration includes Pumpkin Pie, served at Wallace Grade School after the ride, rest stops, water, Gatorade, snacks, bananas and live bluegrass music.

☛Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate special diets or dietary restrictions – please bring your own nutrition.

☛Ottawa High School FFA will be selling grilled pork chop sandwiches, brats, chips, pretzels and soda at the Sheridan rest stop for the 50, 68, 102 mile routes, which closes at 2:30 pm. This is a fundraiser for their organization. Please bring cash only, approximately $6. Price NOT included in registration fees.

☛Wallace Grade School: The Grade School closes at 5:00 pm, please be done riding by then.

☛SAG support may be limited due to COVID guidelines, please bring a mask and have extra tube(s) for your tires and pump to do basic repairs.

SAG support ends for ALL riders at 3:30pm.

►ALL riders must check in at registration to receive a rider number which must be displayed at all times during ride.

HELMETS REQUIRED. NO Headphones, all riders must obey the Illinois rules of the road.

☛To ensure a safe and enjoyable ride experience, we will follow appropriate state and local COVID-19 guidelines and we expect all ride participants to do so as well. SRCA reserves the unconditional right to modify the routes & itinerary, without prior notice, due to weather, flooding, road conditions, lockdowns, or other unpredictable situations.

League of American Bicyclists (LAB) RELEASE and waiver of liability, assumption of risk, and indemnity “agreement". In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in the Starved Rock Cycling Association sponsored bicycling activity, I, for myself, my personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin:

1. ACKNOWLEDGE, agree, and represent that I understand the nature of bicycling activities and that I am qualified, in good health. and in proper physical condition to participate in such activity. I further acknowledge that the activity will be conducted over public roads and facilities open to the public during the activity and upon which the hazards of traveling are to be expected including but not limited to dogs, wildlife, traffic, or other road conditions. I further agree and warrant that if at any time I believe conditions to be unsafe, I will immediately discontinue further participation in the activity.

2. FULLY UNDERSTAND that: (a) BICYCLING ACTIVITIES INVOLVE RISKS AND DANGERS OF SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, INCLUDING VIRAL INFECTIONS, BACTERIAL INFECTIONS AND OTHER COMMUNICABLE DISEASES AND ILLNESSES, INCLUDING PERMANENT DISABILITY, PARALYSIS, AND DEATH (“RISKS"); (b) these risks and dangers may be caused by my own actions or inactions, the actions or inactions of others participating in the activity, the conditions in which the activity takes place, or THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE “RELEASEES" NAMED BELOW; (c) there may be OTHER RISKS AND SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC LOSSES either not known to me or not readily foreseeable at this time; and I FULLY ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS AND ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSSES, COSTS, AND DAMAGES I incur as a result of my participation in the activity.

3. HEREBY RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Starved Rock Cycling Association, League of American bicyclists, their respective administrators, directors, members, agents, officers, volunteers, and employees, other participants, any sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and Lessors of premises on which the activity takes place, (each considered one of the “Releasees" herein) FROM ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, DEMANDS, LOSSES, OR DAMAGES ON MY ACCOUNT CAUSED OR ALLEGED TO BE CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING NEGLIGENT RESCUE OPERATIONS. AND, I FURTHER AGREE that if, despite this release and waiver of liability, assumption of risk, and indemnity agreement I, or anyone on my behalf, makes a claim against any of the Releasees, I WILL INDEMNIFY, SAVE, AND HOLD HARMLESS EACH OF THE RELEASEES from any litigation expenses, attorney fees, loss, liability, damage, or cost which any may incur as a result of such claim.

4. I grant Starved Rock Cycling the right to take photographs of me and my family in connection with this event and agree that Starved Rock Cycling may use photographs with or without names for any lawful purpose (e.g. publicity, illustration, web, Facebook, or other social media content). I understand that Starved Rock Cycling does not sell or share demographic information to any other parties for any reason.

5. I agree to cooperate to “Share the Road” and agree not to ride more than two abreast. I agree to follow all Illinois rules of the road, which apply to both cars and bicycles.

6. I AM 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT AND HAVE SIGNED IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT INDUCEMENT OR ASSURANCE OF ANY NATURE AND INTEND IT TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW. I AGREE THAT IF ANY PORTION OF THIS AGREEMENT IS HELD TO BE INVALID, THE BALANCE, NOT WITHSTANDING, SHALL CONTINUE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT.

If rider is under the age of 18, they must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult.

7. Cancellation Policy: No Refunds for any reason. In the event of cancellation, all registration fees will be considered a tax deductible donation to Starved Rock Cycling Association, a 501(c)(3) organization.
