Roslyn M. Brock is a nationally recognized health policy and equity advocate, social justicechange agent, noted public speaker, and youth leadership mentor who holds the distincthonor of being the youngest person and fourth woman unanimously elected in 2010 to theposition of National Board Chairman for the National Association for the Advancement ofColored People (NAACP). She served with distinction for seven years and currently holdsthe title of Chairman Emeritus. As NAACP National Chairman, Brock championed the board's policy engagement in The Black Church and HIV: The Social Justice Imperative; marriage equality; and the proliferation of Charter schools. In 2003, she founded the NAACP Leadership 500 Summit, a recruitment and training initiative to cultivate a new generation of civil rights leaders. Leadership 500 contributed nearly $2M to support to the organization's civil rights programs. As a youth Board member in 1989, Brock was responsible for the NationalBoard's inclusion of Health as a standing committee in its Constitution and national strategicprogram focus.
