30th Annual Celebrate Women

Celebrate Women is CFUW Sudbury's signature event. This highly successful annual fundraiser features a Canadian female author who reveals her experiences as the author of her latest book. It was created in 1996 in partnership with the YWCA Sudbury and the Women's Legal Education and Action Fund. CFUW Sudbury's share of proceeds assists in providing bursaries and scholarships to deserving students.

This Year's Author is the multi-award-winning author Lisa Moore, co-author of Invisible Prisons. This riveting nonfiction is based on the shocking true story of a teenaged boy who endured abuse and solitary confinement at a reform school in Newfoundland, but survived through grit and redemptive love.
