30th Anniversary IPS Symposium

Join On Our Own of Maryland as we celebrate three decades of Intentional Peer Support!

For 30 years, Intentional Peer Support (IPS) has been transforming relationships by shifting the focus from "helping" to "learning together." On Friday, April 17th, we invite our entire community—past graduates, peer support specialists, advocates, and anyone curious about the power of connection—to gather at Baltimore Unity Hall for a day of celebration, reflection, and shared growth.

This event is FREE to attend. (Registration is required).

This isn’t your typical sit-and-listen conference. We have designed a day focused on interaction and possibility.

• Interactive Creativity: We are kicking off the morning and closing the afternoon with Highwire Improv! Through fun, low-pressure applied improvisation exercises, we will explore how to take risks, support one another, and build trust in real-time.
• Connection & Cuisine: Enjoy a fully catered lunch (with vegetarian and vegan options provided) and dedicated time to reconnect with old friends and network with peers from across the state.

We are offering two concurrent workshop tracks so you can tailor your experience:

Track A: Deepening the Practice Designed for IPS Graduates and experienced practitioners looking to challenge their worldview and refresh their skills.

Track B: The Power of Connection Open to the public! Designed for those new to IPS or those wanting to get back to basics.

• IPS Graduates: Re-energize your practice and reconnect with your cohort.
• Peer Professionals: Learn new tools for "moving towards" rather than "moving away" in crisis.
• Community Members: If you are interested in how mutual relationships can heal and transform, Track B is designed for you.
