YTT Required Hours (training hours- 135 with Lead) = 270 hrs
Every other weekend on Sat/Sun from 12-6pm:
Module 1 = 84 hrs March 6-June 6 (7 weeks)
Module 2 = 36 hrs June 26- July 25 (3 weeks)
Module 3 = 108 hrs Aug 7-Dec 5 (9 weeks
Module 4 = 42 hrs Jan 8-Feb 19 (4 weeks)
YTT Required Hours (outside of training hours) = 30 hrs:
- Experience (5 hrs): Choose and attend 4 of the following specialty classes: Bhakti, Prenatal, Chair, Breathwork, Kids/Family or Yoga en Espanol classes at Gilbert Yoga (other specialties/locations with approval)
- Karma Yoga (10 hrs): Seva/Volunteerism of your choice with documentation and impact statement.
- Observations (5 hrs): Observe a minimum of 4 classes (at GY or at other studios) starting in last 30 days of training. Have teachers sign observation form - Teaching Practicums (5 hrs): In each module, trainees will be required to craft and teach a 1.25hr class to the other YTT trainees. Trainees will fill out feedback forms at the end of class and return to you immediately.
- Assistantship (5 hrs): Inquire with 4 other senior yoga teachers (Cassandra, Ingrid, Heather, Lanita, Renee, Janis) at Gilbert Yoga to assist in their classrooms. Have teachers sign assistanceship form.
