30 x 30 Youth - Celebrating UN World Oceans Day 2021!

United Nations World Oceans Day 2021 is on June 8! The first to take place during the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, this year’s theme is The Ocean: Life & Livelihoods, which will explore the wonders of the ocean and how we can create sustainable and inclusive livelihoods for all who depend on it.⁠ In support of this goal, Peace Boat US will be involved in a number of events - some online, some in-person and others hybrid events. Where events take place in-person, COVID-19 prevention measures will be in place according to NYC guidelines. We invite you to join us to celebrate the ocean!

Action for the Oceans Day - June 11

On Friday June 11, Peace Boat US will focus on Action for the Oceans! The day will feature an in-person event and exhibition at the Selina Chelsea NYC Hotel. We invite youth ages 30 years old and younger to join us for the afternoon section of the day from 3 pm - 7 pm with Peace Boat partners, as well as various online activities. The program will include workshops, art exhibits, film screenings and networking opportunities with UN Partners and NGOs working towards ocean conservation and climate action! We look forward to seeing you there!
