La forteresse de Chaumont-sur-Loire fut bâtie vers l’an 1000 pour surveiller la frontière entre les comtés de Blois et d’Anjou.

Propriété de la famille d’Amboise durant 500 ans, c’est Charles II d’Amboise qui inaugure sa métamorphose en château d’agrément dans le style Renaissance.

En 1560, Catherine de Médicis, veuve du roi Henri II et régente du royaume de France, achète le château de Chaumont et contraint Diane de Poitiers, ancienne favorite du roi, à lui donner celui de Chenonceau en échange.

? FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DES JARDINS

Le Festival International des Jardins est un laboratoire de la création contemporaine dans le domaine des jardins et de la création paysagère dans le monde. A la fois mine d’idées et pépinière de talents, le Festival redynamise l’art des jardins et présente au public de nouveaux fleurissements, de nouveaux matériaux, des idées et des approches novatrices.

Chaque année le thème change et la créativité des meilleurs paysagistes mondiaux est mise en compétition pour une réalisation originale et souvent pleine de sens!

En 2022, le Festival International des Jardins fête son 30ème anniversaire!

☀ VILLE de VENDÔME

Nous visiterons aussi la ville de Vendôme qui a conservé depuis le XVIIème siècle un patrimoine unique d’espaces verts et de jardins sur une centaine d’hectares, toujours fleuris et entretenus avec passion. Spécialistes notamment de la mosaïculture, les jardiniers réalisent chaque année de véritables fresques florales, perpétuant le classement de Vendôme en ville fleurie.

Aussi, grâce à son patrimoine bien conservé, Vendôme est classée Ville d'Art et d'Histoire et offre ainsi un riche patrimoine médiéval au pied d’un coteau baigné par le Loir.

Parmi les édifices remarquables de la ville : le Château des Bourbon-Vendôme avec un panorama à couper le souffle sur la ville, l'Abbatiale de La Trinité, et au cœur historique de la ville subsistent les vestiges de remparts telle la porte Saint-Georges, la place Saint-Martin avec ses maisons à pans de bois...

Pour participer à nos excursions et week-ends, le PORT du MASQUE est OBLIGATOIRE (non-fourni par WeDiscover). Toute personne non-munie d'un masque se verra refuser la montée dans l'autocar (aucun report de participation, avoir ou remboursement ne sera accordé). Toute personne qui consciemment ou par négligence exposerait les autres participants à un risque de contamination durant les trajets ou les visites sera immédiatement exclue du voyage. Le fautif devra rentrer à Paris par ses propres moyens, à ses propres frais.

Les transporteurs garantissent un NETTOYAGE RENFORCÉ de l'autocar AVANT et APRÈS chaque voyage.

Dans une optique de limitation de propagation du covid-19 en général et pour faciliter le nettoyage renforcé régulier de l'autocar effectué avant et après votre voyage, pour votre sécurité sanitaire mais aussi celle des futurs participants, il est INTERDIT de laisser des DÉTRITUS dans l'autocar.

Il est recommandé à chaque participant d'emmener du GEL HYDROALCOOLIQUE pour une désinfection régulière de vos mains. (Une quantité d'urgence sera mise à disposition, à nos frais, à chaque voyage.)

? CASTLE OF CHAUMONT

Built in the 10th century for military reasons, the Castle of Chaumont was transformed into a Renaissance style leisure castle in the 15th century by the Amboise family, owner of the castle for 5 centuries.

In 1560, Catherine de Médicis, widow of King Henry II and Queen regent of the Kingdom of France, bought the castle and forced Diane de Poitiers, former favorite of the king, to move in and give her the Castle of Chenonceau in exchange.

The Domain of Chaumont sur Loire includes:

Anyone not wearing a mask will be refused boarding the coach (no postponement of participation, credit or refund will be granted). Anyone who consciously or by careless negligence exposes other participants to a risk of contamination during the bus transfers or visits will be immediately excluded from the trip. The offender will have to return to Paris on his own, at his own expense.

Carriers guarantee ENHANCED CLEANING of the coach BEFORE and AFTER each trip.

In order to limit the spread of covid-19 in general and to facilitate the regular reinforced cleaning of the coach carried out before and after your trip, for your health safety but also that of future participants, it is FORBIDDEN to leave GARBAGE in the coach.
