3 Part Wildlights Photography workshop at Denver Zoo

Wildlights with Denver Zoo is a fun three-part night photography workshop!

Learn how to photograph Zoo Lights art pieces at night as well as how to "paint with light" and how to achieve generally more pleasing photographs through an exploration of exposure value at the first night's webinar.

Then apply learning during a night shoot at Denver Zoo where you’ll have an exclusive opportunity to photograph animals up close at the Zoo’s Exploration Station, and then go have a walkabout on the grounds to capture the beautiful zoo lights. Meet again for a critique to share your best images.

This workshop is brought to you by Denver Zoo and Mike's Camera.

What You’ll Learn:

The evening’s lecture will be followed by an exclusive opportunity to photograph animals at the Denver Zoo up close at Exploration Station, and then a walkabout on the grounds to capture the beautiful Zoo lights

• How to photograph illuminated subjects at night
• General exposure lesson; useful in all disciplines
• ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture, Spot Metering, Focusing
• How to paint with light

Lecture: Tuesday November 25, 6:30PM - 8:30 PM

Live in our Online Classroom

Shooting Workshop: Wednesday December 3, 5:00PM - 8:00 PM

at Denver Zoo (the group will meet at the main entrance at 4:45pm)

Critique: Tuesday December 9, 6:30PM - 8:30 PM

Tuition includes evening lecture, hands-on shooting workshop, private viewing and access to restricted animals, a great variety of photographic opportunities for the entire day, a 16x20-inch Print of a favorite image from your day’s shoot, plus a $10 coupon you can use towards anything instore at any Mike's Camera location!

Max Class Size

This workshop is limited to 30 photographers. Participation is for those 12 years and older. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult 21 years or older.
