About the Course:In 1951, when it first came out, Answer to Job created a whirlwind of controversy. It appears in Collected Works, but defiantly so, standing apart from what Jung would think of as his more scientific works. By his own admission, he wrote this piece in a fever and refused to change a word of it for publication. Jung does connect this work to the volume in the Collected Works referred to as Aion, where he expands on the problems related to Christ as a symbolic figure of the archetypal Self. But, along with the Red Book, one could equally view Answer to Job as Jung’s psychospiritual legacy.
Join us as we examine what this critical text says about both the Christian tradition and the future of Analytical Psychology.
