This three-day clinic is great for all levels of horses and riders. In this clinic you will be given the tools to take your horse from a reactive brain to a thinking brain, both on the ground and in the saddle. You will leave with a better understanding of how and why your horse reacts certain ways. You will be learning round pen techniques, ground school and horsemanship skills in the saddle. We will work on lateral and vertical softness. One rein stops, moving both front and hind end of your horse. We will work the horses through obstacles which will give you a chance to apply the tools you have learned. Melissa has over 25 years as a professional horse woman. She has been blessed to work with such greats as Ray Hunt and Dennis Reis. Her resume consists of colt starting, showing gaited horses, trail, versatility, mounted shooting and barrel racing. "I believe the horse is our greatest teacher, we just have to listen.” Clinic is $600. $300 non-refundable deposit due to hold your spot. Limited to 10 riders. You must be able to trot on your horse to participate. Camping and stalls available. No dogs without prior approval. Lunch provided daily.
