3-Day Activity Camp for Adoptive, Foster, Kinship and Safe Families

July 19-21, 2023, at My Gym In Yorba Linda. There are no overnight accommodations provided.

Family Fun on Purpose Camp is a sensory-rich experience intended for families who have been through adverse experiences. Come enjoy fun activities with your family for both children and teens that build relational skills for stronger connections. The activities will feature the amazing equipment of My Gym, crafts, games, and more. We are so grateful that MY GYM Is donating the space for your family!

We’ll provide free drinks, snacks and dinner each day. If you're looking for a place to grow closer as a family that is also fun, this is the perfect event for you! All ages are welcome as the activities are modified to be age appropriate for each child in your family. We believe this experience will be worth taking vacation days. Both parents are expected to attend with the family but we will be flexible as needed for work schedules.

The camp experience is based on TBRI® (Trusted Based Relational Interventions) modeled after family camps provide by the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University. Each day will have time when kids are learning relational skills through hands-on activities with a trained volunteers while parents/caregivers are learning the same relational skills from an adult perspective. Then the whole family will come together to play games and activities to practice the skills we learned.
