3-D Fabric Flower Craft/Sewing Class

Make a bendable 3-D flower out of scraps of fabric. We will be ironing, cutting, and sewing. You can sew on a sewing machine if you like or by hand. The class will last around an hour, but if you are chosing hand sewing, you might be taking a little work home with you to finish. (Or you can stay in the building and grab a drink from downstairs and sew!)

If you want to sew on a machine you can bring your own or rent one for an additional cost. If you want to rent, you will add that on when you purchase your ticket.

You will need to bring your own supplies to class.

Supplies needed:

-Fabric - quilting cotton (amount listed below)

-Thread (sewing machine thread or embroidery floss if you are sewing by hand)

*Each flower petal needs approximately 2 x 5 inches of fabric for each side. If you are making a scrappy flower you will need 14 pieces of fabric. There are 7 petals and you need a fabric for both sides.

*If you want all flowers petals to be the same, you should bring 2 pieces of fabric about 16 x 6 inches. 2 fat quarters will be more than enough fabric.

*A piece of fabric about 5 x 5 inches for the center.

*Strips of fabric to wrap around the stem. Green or another color.

I will also provide some sewing basics like scissors/rulers/iron/glue gun, but if you have specific tools you like to use like fabric pens, chalk, extra needles, pins etc bring them too. If you have a glue gun or travel iron that you love to use, you can bring it too.
