Join us for a double vernissage, when Martin Asbæk Gallery presents Marginalia Bacchanalia, Paul McDevitt’s sixth solo exhibition with Martin Asbæk Gallery. The backbone of the exhibition is a group of the artist’s Notes to Self series of drawings, displayed both on the walls and installed in a custom-built table which snakes through the gallery.
Upstairs at Arden Asbæk Gallery McDevitt’s students presents the accompanying exhibition Gesucht!, which attempts to find poetry in the mundane, beauty in the quotidian. The exhibiting students were set a project to make their own images for missing animals, real or imaginary, using a variety of print techniques, but with the stipulation that each work be comprised of two colours, and without using black.
