Event Description: This 90-minute prenatal workshop is thoughtfully designed to help expectant parents feel more informed, empowered, and supported in making the choices that matter most during pregnancy and birth. Whether you're preparing to choose a provider or exploring your options for where and how you want to give birth, this session offers clear, evidence-based guidance to help you confidently navigate your path forward.

In Supportive Care + Informed Choices, we’ll dive into key topics such as selecting the right provider (OB or midwife), understanding different birth settings (hospital, home, or birth center), and learning about the supportive roles doulas and birth partners can play throughout your journey. We’ll also explore how to ask the right questions in provider interviews, what informed consent and refusal really mean, and how to make thoughtful decisions around common prenatal interventions.

This is the second session in our flexible 3-week Prenatal Workshop Series for those in their second trimester (15+ weeks), but each session stands alone—so you can drop in to any class that aligns with your interests or needs. You’ll leave feeling more equipped to build a supportive care team and advocate for your values throughout your pregnancy and birth experience.

Meet Your Instructor: Emma Andriotis

Emma is a devoted mother of two and a passionate holistic birth and postpartum doula serving families across South Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania. She believes deeply in each person’s innate wisdom and strength to birth their baby and is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care throughout the perinatal journey.

Emma offers a wide range of services including birth and postpartum doula support, lactation guidance, babywearing education, and holistic practices that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. As a certified Hypnobabies® Hypno-Doula, she specializes in helping families prepare for calm, confident, and empowered births.
