2nd Sunday at Kenwick with Bryce Ernest Taylor & Jaron Jammer
Native to Central Florida, Jaron Jammer has been writing and performing music since 2011. With music that’s been characterized as “psych-folk,” Jaron’s songs cover a variety of subjects, ranging from the zany (like catching frogs with someone you love) to the cosmic (considering a bird’s eye perspective of one’s own birth and death). While in Florida, he played guitar in a psych-rock band called House of I and drums for a Queer Indie band called Sorry Barb, and both experiences reshaped how he thought of making music. This much is evident when listening to the songs of his most recent album Strange Refuge, which blends the more psychedelic, eccentric influences of musicians like Syd Barrett or Devendra Banhart with the grounded, confessional influences of musicians like Joni Mitchell. Since 2026, he has lived with his wife and three cats in Lexington.
