The Spar Tavern and Dock Street Deli/West of the Waterway Event Center, co-produced with DHudson Productions, and working with local sponsors, present this annual free event designed to promote the blues in Tacoma. Address is 1901 Dock Street.This year's festival features:
1:00-1:50pm - The Soulful 88s with MaryJo Tyrholm & Tanya Hodel
2:15-3:10pm - King Kom Beaux
3:30-4:20pm - Big Road Blues
4:45-5:35pm - Lisa Mann Trio
6:00-7:00pm - 'Ridin' with the King' B.B. King Tribute Band
Dear Friends,
The Spar and DHudson Productions are excited to announce we will be hosting Dock Street Blues Fest on Sunday, August 28th.
We are asking the community for donations and providing opportunities for sponsorship. The South Sound Blues Association and Ted Brown Music have both stepped up again this year, but we need your help to keep the festival free. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated Tacoma Youth Symphony.
DIRECTIONS:
Take I-705/Schuster Parkway into Tacoma, if headed North take a right at S. 4th Street. This turns into Dock Street. The venue is just south of the Glass Museum at 1901 Dock Street, Tacoma 98402. Parking is available and the venue is on Foss Waterway under the Henry Apartments.
The bands will be playing outside on the Waterway Stage.
