Welcome to our 2nd Benefit Concert for Yacouba!After months of seeking any and all resources to help Yacouba pay his bills, we have come to a dead end. Yacouba has been approved for medical assistance, denied food stamps, (in appeal now) and he has now been denied disability for the 2nd time. Exhausting all of my resources to help Yacouba until he is well enough to go back to work has brought about this 2nd Benefit Concert. With help from me, (Amber) Lori Carroll, Brad, Suba Dread, and Zoya we bring you an amazing lineup, raffle, art sale, (by donations) and a delicious potluck in honor and support for Yacouba.
I am asking everyone to come together again to help support Yacouba. He continues his treatment 3xs a week and is still taking multiple medications to keep him stable. He has continued to look forward with optimism, as we continue to find other resources to help cover things such as rent and utilities, phone and car insurance, and above all else food and hygiene. It is what we can do as a community.
The goal is to raise enough to cover 3-6 months of bills while Yacouba finishes treatment and is strong enough to go back to work.
