2nd Annual Stronger Together Overdose Awareness

Food, live music, and multiple area resources for the unhoused and those struggling with addiction.
It's that time again folks. International Overdose Awareness Day is August 31st 2026. Search and Rescue Outreach Ministries Inc is hosting our 2nd Annual Stronger Together Overdose Awareness event. There is still time to join us and set up a table. If you are a ministry or agency that would like to be involved, and set up a table to offer services, please contact us at 316-669-1332.
Between January 1st and June 22nd of 2025, we lost 92 people to overdose. We haven't gotten the numbers for this year yet, but we just lost 2 more today under the bridge at Pawnee and McClean. Let's all pull together and make this an event that Wichita will not only remember, but be awakened by what is happening in their city: their state! Addiction can strike anyone! I know, I lived it. ONE death is too many, 92 is unthinkable in 6 months time. Won't you come out and join us?
