Do you believe that the tongue has power? Do you believe people are struggling with mental health, depression and suicidal thoughts and need to talk, they just need someone to listen ? Do you feel you listen but never know what to say, what to do?
If the answer to any of those questions is YES, then this event is for you.
The Speak Life platform was created in response to growing suicide rates, especially rates in the Black/African American Community.
Our call to our communities has been to provide a safe space to promote engaging in the hard but important conversations. Many have the misconception that talking about suicide will cause people to consider suicide, but research suggests that talking or asking a person about suicide can be lifesaving.
So join us for this day of community, fun and conversations...and bring a friend.
