Most individuals experiencing homelessness walk 10 miles or more per day to obtain the basic essentials they need to survive; many times while carrying everything they own. Can you walk the path a person experiencing homelessness must walk daily?
Imagine you've suffered a catastrophic life event and lost everything you own. The only things you have are your clothes and the shoes you're wearing. Every day you walk around Greencastle looking for the essential items that allow you to survive. It's always a challenge.
Starting Tuesday, November 19, and ending Saturday, November 23, every morning, one activity or "clue" an individual experiencing homelessness must do to obtain essential items will be announced.
There will be 3 items available for each "clue". When the 3 items are correctly identified and claimed from each clue location, the items must be brought to Beyond Homeless for verification. At the end of the week, all participants will receive a small gift for participating.
