The Treasure Coast has its share of homeless living on the streets and in the woods, but what about the ones you don't see - the hidden homeless? Most people don't realize that 26% of the homeless in our area are children, living in cars or shelters with their mothers. Since opening its doors in 2012, the Salvation Army's Compassion House has sheltered and fed more than 600 women and children, helping them get back on their feet and into safe housing. But the need is growing . . .You can help in the battle to get them off the streets. The Salvation Army's 2nd Annual Saltwater Slam KDW Fishing Tournament will raise funds to expand and enhance our homeless services. Scroll down to see the many opportunities to get involved.
Don't miss out on the fun! Cash prizes for each species include $1,000/1st place, $600/2nd place, $400/3rd place plus $500/top lady angler, and $250/top junior angler. Other prizes in each division!
The mandatory Captain's Meeting is Friday, May 3rd, at 6 pm at Pirate's Cove.
