Life can be mentally draining for even the strongest of men and women these days. The post-pandemic trauma, family losses, lack of finances, and daily stress has pushed many to the limit, causing some to suffer from depression and others struggling to find coping mechanisms.

Records show that more than 1 in 5 women in the United States experienced a mental health condition in the past year, such as depression or anxiety, and some are unaware that they even have it because symptoms can vary.

During the 2ND ANNUAL RECLAIM YOUR POWER - MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS EXPERIENCE, we will connect authentically, share our individual journeys of adversity, and learn techniques to combat trauma (past & future) from the professional guest speakers.

This is also a time for you to support small business owners in the community that will be in attendance to network and showcase their products and services.

GUEST SPEAKER: Lisa Sunshine is a Certified Life Recovery Coach, Eyewear Designer, and Hope Dealer. As a coach that specializes in helping you overcome trauma, she helps you pivot from being broken & unsure to having confidence saying "the gifts go where I go!"

Lisa is truly the definition of an overcomer who has endured the traumas of childhood abuse, poverty, teen pregnancy, domestic violence, homelessness, and the loss of her 17-year-old son, Kalen, in 2016. Learn how she used every trauma and challenge to turn adversity to her advantage.

GUEST SPEAKER: Rev. Dr. Jaye Lynn Peabody Smith, DMIN, MPA, MDIV, MS, LPC, CPCS, strives to be influential, inspirational, and impassioned. She is a preacher, teacher, trainer, and author. She became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2014 and started Peabody Practice, LLC.

The Peabody Practice provides counseling, consultation, and training to individuals and organizations. Rev. Jaye earned a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health. and recently a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling from Mercer University. She also earned a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Administration from New York University. She is a Certified Anger Management Specialist (CAMS) and a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor.
