Be a hero for early literacy in Volusia County by participating in the 2nd Annual Little Literacy Heroes 5K! All proceeds benefit Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Volusia, which currently mails book each month to more than 3,500 children ages birth-five years old.Participants can walk or run - adult registration is $30 and supports one child in the program for a year. It is $10 for children to participate.
Come out and walk or run to support our community, then cool off in the Victory Circle fountains, and enjoy the fun activities in the Kids Zone! We also have a special guest joining us - you don't want to miss it!
Also, visit the Book Exchange table to donate your books and pick up one or two new-to-you books!
It costs $30 to support one child in the program for a year or $150 for five years. This program is ENTIRELY supported by generous donations from local businesses and individuals. Help us keep the program continuing so we can serve more children, increase their early literacy skills, and encourage family engagement through reading!
