About this Event
Join Us for the 2nd Annual Journey to Racial Healing Ceremony!
Get ready to embark on a powerful journey towards racial healing at our 2nd Annual ceremony! This in-person event will take place on Saturday June 24th at 1:00 p.m. at the Stryker Center located at 412 North Boundary Street, Williamsburg, VA.
The inspiring keynote speakers are Darrell and Will Hairston who, while working together, discovered that they shared more than a last name. Both men descend from one of the largest slaveowning empires in the antebellum South. The story of their family's complex history is chronicled in the award-winning book, The Hairstons: An American Family in Black and White.
Through meaningful conversations, viewing of the Juneteenth African Art exhibit and tasty refreshments, we hope to create a sense of community and understanding that will continue to resonate in Greater Williamsburg long after this event is over.
Whether you're a long-time advocate for racial healing or just starting to learn about the issues, we welcome you to join us on this important journey. Together, we can make a difference and create a more just world for all.
