In the fall of 2019 we lost Frankie, he was a son, a brother, a great friend to many. He was regularly helping out people in need including the homeless.To continue to honor Frank’s giving spirit we will begin this year’s
sock and snack drive with the Grosse Pointe Pedalers for a short ride
in Downtown Detroit meeting up at Green Dot Stables (one of Frankie's favorite Detroit restaurants).
To join in the ride, we ask that you bring a pack of socks and some granola bars.
Why socks?
Socks are one of the most requested items on homeless shelters lists.
Each pair of socks donated will be bundled with snack bars, with a note stating, “I Care, Love Frankie”. Donations will be collected through December and will be distributed beginning in January 2022.
If you can’t make the kick-off ride and still want to contribute, no worries! Donations will be collected by
friends and family. Donations can be mailed directly to friends or family (just ask, addresses can be
