Join Food Tank, the Global Food Institute at George Washington University, José Andrés, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the Food is Medicine Institute at Tufts University, ReFED, American Frozen Food Institute, Oatly, Driscoll’s, and the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation for the 2nd annual Food and Agriculture Policy Week December 7th - 11th, 2026.
The week will feature policy-centered programming on Capitol Hill and will culminate at George Washington Univeristy's Dorothy Betts Theater for an all-day Summit on food and agriculture policy. The week will include dynamic conversations with thought leaders across the food system on policies that can support a healthier population and planet.
Food and Agriculture Policy Week Schedule:
Monday, December 7th - Capitol Hill Luncheon. "International Year of the Woman Farmer." In partnership with the Global Food Institute at GW, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, and Food Tank.
Tuesday, December 8th - Capitol Hill Luncheon. "Food is Medicine." In partnerhsip with the Food is Medicine Institute at Tufts University, and Food Tank.
Wednesday, December 9th - Capitol Hill Luncheon. "Food Loss and Food Waste." In partnership with ReFED, American Frozen Food Institute, and Food Tank.
Thursday, December 10th - “2nd Annual Food and Agriculture Policy Summit” at George Washington Univeristy. In partnership with Food Tank, Oatly, Driscoll’s, and the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation. Dorothy Betts Theater including a delicious networking reception.
Friday, December 11th - Food Tank Academic Working Group Annual In-Person Meeting at George Washington University.
