Please join us for the second annual Empty Shoe Project,This year 527 photos and descriptions of loved ones along with shoes will be displayed at the fire hall correlating with the number of overdose 2023 in Delaware . However, your loved one did not need to reside in the state of Delaware to To have a signed displayed to honor them.
This project is a raw emotional visual of those we’ve lost. By depicting, who they were along with their photo, helps to the destigmatize the disease of addiction by showing that those that we love were so much more than their disease. These were our daughters and sons, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters and friends . They were good people deeply loved I missed.
If you would like to order a sign for this event, please email a photo of your loved one along with a short description of them to [email protected]. There is a $25 charge for each sign to be paid directly to Jenny gems. Orders will be taken until October 30 th.
You may take your loved one’s sign that you purchase at the end of the event.
