2nd Annual Eid Al-Adha Boat and Island trip to Spectacle Island

As part of the City of Belonging Festival and Immigrant Heritage Month, this event is open and inviting of to everyone! However each year the theme is somewhat targeted in order to explicitly uplift and support the needs of a targeted group and this year it is particularly sculpted to invite African, Carribean and African Americans to reflect on the Eid Celebration of the Sacrifice (Al -Adha) and the rich diverse cultural inheritance of the many faces, and faceless challenges of the decendeants of the African diaspora. Universally designed to connect families through drumming and food, the 2nd Annual Eid Al-Adha Boat and Island trip to Specticle Island, yet again features the Jah Jah Drummers and is catered by Brazils own, Dalu of the Dorchester restauraunt Yo Momma. The event is rightfully themed: 114 Acres and a Mu (servant) and is connected with the nexus of Island's size,114 Acres and the 114 Chapters in the Quran and the African American Promise of Reparations (45 Acres and a Mule). We invite you to join us and celebrate the City of Belonging organically, by walking, exploring, hiking and swimming at the beach with friends and family.

Bring beach blankets, chairs and supplimental items to customize your experience. Be advised that all of our events are sober events. The transport boat is a National Boston Harbor Islands Cruise Ship. (Not the smaller rowboat in the promotional picture displayed).
