Join us at the 2nd Annual Black History Month Film Festival, hosted at J. Lane Theater, for four powerful Sundays of film, culture, and conversation. This free, family-friendly community event celebrates Black stories, leaders, and history through thought-provoking films and guest discussions.Each week features a new film, special guests, and opportunities to learn, connect, and honor the legacy of Black Americans who shaped our world.
Film Lineup:
🎬 February 1st – TILL
A moving historical drama honoring the legacy of Emmett Till and the strength of Mamie Till-Mobley.
🎬 February 8th – Ride to Freedom: The Rosa Parks Story
A powerful reenactment of Rosa Parks’ journey and the beginning of the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
🎬 February 15th – All In: The Fight for Democracy (Stacey Abrams)
A deep dive into voter suppression, democracy, and the fight for political equality.
🎬 February 22nd – 42: The Jackie Robinson Story
Celebrate the courage and groundbreaking legacy of Jackie Robinson.
